What is a Medical Oncologist?
A doctor who has special training in diagnosing and treating cancer in adults using chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biological therapy, and targeted therapy. Depending on the type and stage of the cancer, and the treatment needed, a medical oncologist will often coordinate treatment given by other specialists, such as our Radiation Oncologists.
For patient convenience, we have both Medical and Radiation Oncologists at all of our DMO cancer centres.
